@ES Materials and Methods:
@EN Questionnares and clinical and clinical examination were conducted in 110 service workers and 79 manufacturing workers. The data were analyzed into prevalence, subjective signs and objective symptoms and, the outcomes were compared between
two
occupational groups.
@ES Results: The results are as followings:
@EN 1) The prevalence of TMD in participated female labor was 57.5%.
2) there was no significant difference in the prevalence between two occupational groups but, in respect to age groups, the prevalence of the 20s was higher than the 30s or the 40s
3) As regards subjective signs, preauricular pain and neck & shoulder pain were significantly higher in manufacture group, but joint noise and discomfort after eating were significantly higher in service group.
4) As regards objective symptoms, tenderness of masticatory muscles and deviation on mouth opening were significantly higher in manufacture group, but clicking sound was significantly higher in service group.
5) When comparing two groups of positively or negatively responsed to the question whether the present signs were related to her occupation, the TMD score was significantly higher in positive respond group, and neck & shoulder pain, headache,
clicking
